It's the Little Things..

• I saw Breaking Dawn Part Two with Lauren!  I had so much fun!  And you know what?  I totally teared up at the end. 
• I finished my sewing project in school and I am going to share it with you soon!
• I went estate sale shopping!  I haven't been in forever!
• I bought some art supplies with Lauren earlier this week- Yay art!
• I thrifted myself four (4!) pairs of pants!  That's right, world.  Oakley Seal is not wearing a skirt or a dress today.

It's the Little Things

• This week was end of term.  It was sooo stressful!
• I had a bug AP Art project due.  I stayed up until 3 a.m. finishing it.
• It snowed on my AP Art project.  Now there's a mystery blob on it.
• It snowed.  This is horrible!
• I bought fabric for my sewing project I am competing with.  I know I said no hints but I will give you one:  SIX YARDS
• My sister has her first-ever cheer competition this morning!  Good luck Avery!
• I have kept my room clean all week.  This is huge for me on it's own but it is even better because I have been so busy!

It's The Little Things

It was an amazing week for me!  I had so much fun!

• I had Monday off for fall break and I got a second piercing in my ear!
• I finished my dress in sewing class and got an A on it!  Pictures are coming soon!
• I lost my phone.  This is not one of the good parts.  I am actually frantic without it.
• I stayed up extremely late (2:30 am) to finish two AP art assignments.  I was so tired the next day.
• My art projects turned out really well despite the procrastination!  I got good grade on them and they are in the school display case!
• I have started one of my dresses for sewing class and so far it is looking good!

It's the Little Things

• It is currently Fall Break!  
• I have been on mini vacation after vacation with friends the last few weeks!  (and I am going on another one today!)
• Two of my great friends turned 17 recently!  Happy birthday!
• I am so so SO close to finishing my dress in sewing class!
• When I finish my dress I get to start another project that I am going to  compete with in FCCLA!
• I went to a cabin with my friends Lauren, Lauren, and Madi!  It was pretty much the best time I have had in a while!

It's the Little Things...

• I am so so close to finishing my dress in my clothing class!  All that is left is hand stitching... give me a week...
• My friends and I got frozen yogurt during lunch this week.  I cannot believe it took us this long to drive there!
• I quickly do my AP art and turn it in only to find out that I am already behind again! 
• I have abandoned my crocheted blanket for a few smaller projects.
• My dad and I are currently in St. George!  

It's the Little Things...

• Last weekend I went camping with some of my best friends!  It was so fun to just sit around a camp fire (that I proudly started) and just talk.  I learned some very interesting things about some of them!
• We came home smelling like smoke and crashed on my friend's couch and didn't leave it for hours because we watched the first and second season of Arrested Development, which is hilarious!
• I procrastinated my AP art projects until last second.  They look awful!  The biggest problem for me is trying to like or enjoy drawing for these stupid projects.  I don't like the assignments.
• No sewing teacher!  Ah!  I am not good enough to just go without help. Yet.  So my dress that I want to show you so badly is not yet finished.
• I went to work and didn't get home until almost midnight!  This is big for me because I am an in bed by nine-thirty type gal.
• I woke up at 9:30!  This is another crazy thing because I am an early riser.
• I am currently eating Olive Garden Fettucini Alfredo leftovers for breakfast.  It tastes even better the second day!
• Listening to Angus and Julia Stone Pandora Radio to attempt waking up slowly.

• Let's see... I got a job!  Woo!
• I got lost driving to said job last night... I showed up an hour late...
• It is a long weekend!  I have so many amazing plans!
• And I have to, of course, thank my grandpa for getting my computer fixed!  I love you!

It's the Little Things

Hello everyone!  Since I have been away from the blog for so long, I am going to just combine this week's little things with the previous week!  I am so glad to be back!

• My mom and I went running for the first time.  And it was horrible!  I am sure runners and cars that pass us were laughing.  Mostly because I run like an uncoordinated girl.  
• I used my first crocheting pattern!  And I made a collar!
• I found a vintage crochet pattern online for knee-high socks and it was so cute!  Unfortunately it uses an old fashioned term and I don't know what to do next because I can't figure out what it means online.  Are there any crochet masters out there to help!?  
• I am now a licensed driver in Utah!  I feel so big!
• Angus stone is coming to Salt Lake City this coming week.  He is my all-time favorite singer. He is Australian so this is a big deal to me!  Too bad he is playing in a bar.  And you have to be 21+. 
• There have just been a never ending stupid computer problems.  Keeping the darn thing on is like trying to... its just hard.  Take my word for it.
• School started!  I did not have a great first week mostly because some of my classes intimidate me so much!  
• On the first day of school I lost one of my school books.  Of course.  That is such a "me" thing to do.  But I found it the next day in one of my classes!
• I had to present three works of art I did over the summer for AP Art.  My three works were pretty last minute and not-so-over-the-summer. More like the night before they were due.  I was so embarrassed and nervous to show them to people in the class!  It wasn't so bad, I guess but I know procrastination will not happen again!  

It's the Little Things...

• I am a blogging machine! I am so organized now and  with the new school year coming ...I hope I can keep it up!
• I went to Park City! I love it there.  We went to the outlets but... my favorite store was the animal shelter!
• I bound my own book! ahem-or my own planner.  This is going to save me, this blog, and my grades when school starts.
• I finished my crocheted blanket! It is not bad for a first blanket!  I am so excited to share it with you!
• My mom, sister, and I went to estate sales and guess what?!  I scored some amazing finds!

It's the Little Things

• I cleaned out my room.   Closets, under my bed, Dressers, everything.  I threw so so much away.  I know I have a problem with keeping things I really don't need for sentimental reasons...but it is so much better! I think I may be over that little habit.
• I packed for St. George and slightly messed it up again.  Shoot.
• I have started my drawing assignments for AP Art in a new drawing notebook with new pencils!  
• My newest project is a crocheted blanket!  I have pictures going up on ye olde blogge soon!
• I spent Thursday hanging out with my grandparents!  My mom, my sister, and I met up with my grandma to visit my great grandma in the home she is in.  We stayed until after lunch time laughing at all of the silly things she says.  Later we drove to Gardener Village to look around the shops and to eat a late lunch.  When we went to her house after we dropped our things for five minutes to rest and then got back in the car with my grandpa this time to see the camp site we will be staying at next month with a ton of family!  I am so excited now!  All the drive up and back we listened to my grandpa's amazing music collection.  I love the 1950s and 60s music.  So much!
• I am in St. George right now.  Excellent.  I cannot wait to share all of my fun pictures with you guys!

It's the Little Things

• I had so much fun with my best friend Lauren celebrating her sweet sixteenth birthday!   I took her to an estate sale yesterday morning and later her family took me to the dinosaur museum!  I had not been there in years!  I forgot how incredible and fun it is!  Later we played Mario Brothers on her Wii and ate scones for dinner!  I hope you had an incredible day Lauren!
• I accidentally shut Lauren's cat in the fridge.  We got scones out of her fridge and she grabbed chocolate milk and I shut the door.  Thirty seconds later she opened the door to put the milk away and he was sitting in there.  That could have been a disaster!
• School is over!  I ended up only going to school once this week.  Happy summer everyone! 
• My art teacher lost my best drawing.  It was actually life-like!  I was so upset when he couldn't find it!  But he still had the other two so it could have been worse...
• I didn't get a yearbook for my first year in high school.  My mom forgot to order one for me and they are sold out.  So I brought a notebook and made friends sign that.  I am not giving up!  That year book is something I want so bad.  I emailed my school and asked if there is any way I can order it online and get it later.  Here's to hoping!

It's the Little Things

• Golly, I don't even know how many days of blogging I have missed due to computer problems.  
• Said computer problems are the reason I have been absent.  Again.
• My mom and sister went out of town this weekend so it has just been me and my dad!
• So, there was an accident with my hair and I now have a completely new hairstyle!  It is about time, because I was getting very bored!
• I have finally seen The Avengers!  It was really good!
• Two more days of school!  Well, school ended for me a month ago.  And I have been skipping random classes all last week.  But I just have two yearbook days and SUMMER!
• I feel like a pink barbie doll thanks to my hair!

It's the Little Things

• School is so so close to ending!  I am so ready for this summer!
• I am taking summer school Geometry by choice.  That is right.  I didn't fail any classes. I am doing this so I don't have to take an entire year of Geometry.  So when school starts I will skip to Algebra 2!
• Remember the skirt I wore yesterday?  See it here.  During first period I sneezed and you know what happened?  I popped the two eye hooks off of it!  So the skirt in the pictures is ripped and needs to be fixed.  It was the ice cream cone I ate the day before that helped tighten it enough, I know it.
• I was told that I have the coolest clothes and wear the prettiest dresses.  I love compliments!
• This week I went to a woman's house and got so many wonderful vintage treasures!  I love all of the clothes and fabric I got to take home with me for free!
• I went on my first bike ride of the summer!  I am so excited for all of the bike rides to come with Anna!
• I went to a stag dance last night and had a blast!
• I went to estate sales and garage sales for the first time in ages!  I have gotten some pretty cute stuff!
• I didn't come home from the dance until about 1am and woke up this morning at 7am to go to estate sales.  I am sort of running on low today.

It's the Little Things

• This week led to the first spiders and flies in my room.  WHY!?
• This morning the flies described above woke me up at 7am.
• Last night I went to see Dark Shadows with Anna's family!
• I accidentally dropped the lid to their fancy movie cups during the movie and after we spent ten minutes trying to find it!  Guess where is was?  Right where we looked at least twenty times.
• I got my PLAN testing back and I did really well!
• I have finished City of Lost Souls!  It was so good!  And frustrating!  I loved it!
• I can add yet another bruise to my collection-because I tried to go down a slide and missed.  Don't ask how.  Just know that this is my first time ever doing it. And hopefully my last.  
• My other bruises came from falling down the stairs twice this week and walking into the corner of my bed post.  You could say I am clumsy.

It's the Little Things

• I went to my first dance!  It was so so fun!  We went to dinner and danced all night!
• My first dance was my first date! You would not believe how many pictures were taken.  I felt like I was on a stage because so many people were there taking so many pictures!
• It was a blind date!  I had never met Nate before going to prom! It was an adventure!
• I wore a vintage dress!  My dress was from the 1950s!  I loved it so much!  It did unfortunately prove to  be a problem, though.  I know my limits!  I will never wear a 23 inch waist again!  I felt like i was being sucked in by a corset! The lines on my tummy left over say enough.
• Happy birthday Mom!  
• I got to decorate the kitchen for her birthday!  I realized now why no one decorated the kitchen for my birthday!  It is because I do all of the decorating while my dad and sister blew up balloons!

Its the Little Things:

• Remember my big surprise? I am going to prom!!!  I did not want to announce it until after I answered the boy.
• I am going to prom with a boy I do not know.  It is pure luck I am going to a prom this year!  you see, I am not going to my school's prom.  I am going to a friend's friend's friend's prom.  Need more explaining?  Anna was asked to prom by a friend she has known since birth.  He has a best friend who needed a date.  I didn't have a date, and really wanted to go to prom.  Fate!
• You can bet that my prom dress is vintage but you will have to wait until next Friday to see it!
• I stayed home sick two days this week.  It is not fun being sick, but it was nice to have a break from school.  No worries, I will get my grades up, Mom!
• ...I fell down the stairs...again.  And I have a ginormous bruise to show for it on my shin.

It's the Little Things...

• My social life has seemed to explode at an all time high.  I like being busy! 
• I bought a few "special occasion dresses" that I cannot wait to share!
• I have a great surprise that is waiting to burst out of me!
• I spent the week with my best friends!
• I came across bottles from the 1920s -1940s!  My collection is huge!
• I got to spend a day at a vintage clothing store with my mom and grandma trying on dresses!
• I am wearing my mom's old overalls from the 1990s. Life could not be better.

It's the Little Things

• I finished crocheting my backpack!  I have sewn most of the lining, and I just need a sewing machine with a button foot for my drawstring!
• My friends attempted to teach me the ballroom basics for tryouts that are coming up.
• I got a 3.7 GPA!  It isn't the best, and I always want to do better, but I will take it!
• I went job hunting...and failed.  It seems that no one is hiring.
• It is spring break!  No school next week!
• I am spending my spring break in Las Vegas and St. George with  my friend Anna!
• Easter is in two days!

It's the Little Things

This is such an incredible week!  Where on earth could I start?

• I got my braces off.  Post coming soon!
• I turned sixteen yesterday!
• For my birthday my mom and I went shopping all day!
• I went to Olive Garden!  My favorite!
• A few of my friends threw a girls night for me and we danced-a lot!
• I went to the Hunger Games premiere! It was so fun!
• It is only Saturday, so I have a full weekend ahead of me!
• The performing arts school accepted me.  Turns out that was the easy part.  Convincing my mom letting me go is the hard part.  My dad thinks it is a good idea, though.
• Did I mention I TURNED SIXTEEN???

It's the Little Things...

• Like helping out with a bridal shower...and eating the yummy food.
• Starting up Zumba again at the gym.  Love!
• I went to the mall for the first time in forever!  And I came home with new shoes!
• Planning my birthday party and working on decorations.  I am so excited!
• Getting closer to finishing my crocheted backpack!
• I have started to collect soda tabs and candy wrappers again to finish purses.  These two projects have been going on forever!  Want to donate?
• I saw the most incredible couple ever.  They dressed from the 1950s.  I died.  My future boyfriend and I will be one of those couples.
• I'm heading out for the day, protesting winter by wearing shorts!
