Birthday St. George Trip!

My grandma and sister had a birthday this past week so my family went to St. George to celebrate!

 I came home with some pretty amazing clothes!!!  Thanks Renae, Grandma, and Grandpa!

My aunt Renae thought I looked somewhat British in my sweater and shoes so I had to get a picture with the telephone booth!  Oh, if only it were blue.  That would have made my dreams come true!

 We saw the Beegees!  Oh my word I want to buy all of their songs!  It was so fun!

Flaming Gorge Summer 2012

 I finally made my way up to Flaming Gorge!  It really is one of my favorite family vacation spots.  I hadn't been in years so it really was so fun to go up and remember all of the tiny details I had forgotten over the years like the rainbow cord that you tied the tubes to when we went boating, the cowboy boot shower curtain, and just how much you eat when you go down!

My aunt makes every meal!  My favorites are always her breakfasts because she pretty much makes anything you could ask for. So. Good!

 Avery went fishing for the first time!  I am amazed that she likes it so much because she can never sit still!

 We went garage sale-ing! I got tons of yarn and my sister got a really nice fishing pole for free!

We went boating!  I think this was my favorite part of the entire trip!

 I am a beginner wake-boarder but I still love it!  I thought it was so cool to see my uncle (second cousin?) to do all sorts of tricks after!

 I also drove a wave runner for the first time!  I took my sister out on them and she won't go out with me on them anymore because she says I am a crazy driver.  This is true.

 After we settled down and my family played cards while I crocheted with my new yarn!

Swiss Days 2012

 On our way to Flaming Gorge, my mom, sister, and I went to the Swiss Days Festival!  I seriously love events like this.  All of the booths with hand-made things are so lovely!

I loved the way this booth used the dresser as a display!

 Avery has let me know that she wants me to crochet her an animal hat for Christmas.  Will do, little sis!

It was so fun!  It really is something I look forward to every fall.  The only downer this year was when two (very) rude ladies stopped and basically told us off for bringing Harley(our dog).  One lady kept saying."Can't you read those signs?!"  We planned on coming on our way to Flaming Gorge and didn't know that dogs weren't allowed because we saw them last year.  My mom carried our dog the entire time even to make sure she didn't pee on anything.  We still got yelled at.  

But I like to think positive.  It was fun!

The Festival of Colors

 This was my first year at the festival of colors!  I had so much fun.  There are certain things that I love,and this includes a lot of them!  I love people, big crowds, festivals, rainbows, bright things, and throwing stuff at people!

It comes once a year in Utah.  This is actually a religious event that has become a huge thing for just about everyone. There is music playing, and a dude preaching some religion about peace and love and other fun stuff.  Not bad at all.

 Unfortunately, the colors aren't so easy to get off.  My armpits and chest are stained green, my fingers are blue, my face is purple, and my hair is orange-pink.  What a nightmare.  Overall, was it worth it?  We will find out tomorrow after the damage is assessed.
