Reality Check

I saw a post on Delightfully Tacky, and ever since, I have wanted to do one! And so, here it is.

  • I wish I would wake up earlier. I just sleep in and lately, I just feel so lazy! I want to exercize, but when it comes do actually "doing" instead of "talking" its usually a dud.

  • I am often frustrated and critical of myself. I am trying to fix this.

  • I love to dress up, but sometimes, I look in my closet full of clothes, but I have nothing to wear. Ya know?

  • I hate zits. Whenever I feel a particular zit is too noticable, I tend to stop taking pictures for outfit posts, which really does result in almost no posts at all. I just forget that every other teenager has zits. This fits in the frustration category.

  • I get bored with my hair too quickly. I want to dye my hair an "unnatural color" but because I have parents who do not see the beauty in colorful hair, I work with what I can. In past cases, this ends up with me cutting waist length hair above my shoulders, and going from a blonde, do a very dark brunette.

  • I am a child at heart. I love to forget the problems in the world, and just play pretend.

  • Im a night owl. I feel most creative at night. This is why I sleep in.

  • When I was little, my grandparents babysat me while my parents worked. I would make my parents sit down while I danced and sang. I was born to be a performer and I knew it. The only problem is- I would perform for literally hours and would not let my grandparents leave the couch.

  • I want to make myself a better person. I want to be positive and happy all the time. I think this is something everyone should want.

Here is my challenge for you: create your own reality check post. Ready? Go!

The Ladies Luncheon

I have mentioned making pom-poms for my sister party, and it was a success! It was so cute! Alli and I helped out at the party by using the glue-gun because we decorated hats!

Here are my pom-poms!

Drawings

As I was cleaning out a very messy closet, I came across a book. I would draw out of it all the time! It was Arthur Spiderwick's Field guide. When I found this book, I smiled and drew out of a random page.

Just Dance

I know stake dances are casual, but when it comes to me, I just dont do casual in a public setting well. This outfit is a combination of favorites. I love this shirt because of all the details; the ruching, lacing on the sides, and I know you cant see it, but the back of the shirt is entirely lace-up! The tears in these jeans are completely decorated with rhinestones! I love these booties because they are comfy, and cute!

Tissue Paper PomPom DIY

This is my take on the tissue pompom. I was paid to make some for my sisters tea party, which I am sure I will post about as well! So, thanks for choosing my DIY, and have fun making these!

Supplies:

  • Tissue paper (8 sheets per pompom)

  • wire

  • scissors

step one:

lay eight sheets of tissue paper down, and fold them front to back (accordian style) like if you were making a fan

Step two:

tie wire around the center of the folds and tie. Make a loop so the poms have something to hang from. I didnt really tie a good loop, I just twisted and knotted randomly!

Step three:

cut the edges. You can make them rounded, or just play around with shapes! Make sure to use good scissors, because it can be tough to cut through them. I ended up searching the house for usable sicssors until I gave in, and used our (clean) kitchen shears!

Step four:

pull the tissue sheets out one by one. Be very careful so you dont rip them like I did on my first try!

Step five:

pull out the other end, and hang them!

Hehe! Here is the sunburn I was telling you about earlier! This picture really doesnt do it justice though!

It Must Be Summer

It must be summer because I officially got my first sunburn of the year! It better be the last sunburn of the year because I dont think I can take another one! I dont usually get super burned, but when you fall asleep outside...you get the story. Please excuse me for not posting an outfit, but my it wont even be worth posting (hello basketball shorts, and coke shirt)! Today probably wont be spent outside at all, but more likely spent on the couch with my limbs spread out chanting "nobody touch me"! Yes, today will be a lazy day watching Glee reruns and making bracelets.

Enjoy your Wednesday, and dont forget to wear sunscreen!

Lagoon Day

These are the pictures of my ninth grade lagoon day. I was thinking that it would be less busy because it was closed so only students could go. Wrong! So many different schools went, I think it was busier than usual! I was of course, still glad to be there.

Because it was so busy, and because Lagoon closed early, I didnt get to go on some of my favorites. Im sure Ill go again, and Im also sure Ill have more pictures.
